The international ISOE symposium is organised to provide a global forum to promote the exchange of ideas and management approaches to maintaining occupational radiation exposures As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA). The purpose is for radiological protection professionals to exchange dose reduction practices and lessons learned globally to assure safe and efficient operation of the global power reactor fleet. The symposium will feature technical papers and exhibits on the latest approaches in work management, dose control, remote monitoring and dose measurement. |

International Symposium: Safety Cases for Deep Disposal of Radioactive Waste - Where do we stand? |

The international symposium aims to share practical experiences on preparing for, developing, and documenting a safety case for geologic disposal both at the technical and managerial level. The symposium attempts to measure the relevance of the international contribution in this field and will highlight the international and national progress made since an earlier symposium in 1989. The audience will be drawn from technical specialists, decisions makers and senior management from waste agencies, regulatory and scientific bodies as well as from stakeholders.
